September Bible Readings

Just a reminder, the first column contains the full reading for the day if you wish to read through the entire Bible in one year. The Christian life is challenging and complex, as you’ve seen in your reading through the Psalms. David had his ups and downs and sometimes within the same psalm. Reading God’s Word can help us "weather" the tough times and temper the exhilarating times of our walk with the Lord. "Bible reading, like a thermometer, can test our sense of God’s nearness, but it is no gauge of our justification. God declares all who believe in Jesus to be righteous only through trusting in Him. Reading the Bible regularly adds nothing to the perfection of God’s justifying grace. We read to grow in our understanding of the implications of justification for the Christian life. We read to know more of the mercy of God to sinners who believe," says Geoffrey Thomas. So, this month, may you know more of God’s nearness in whatever circumstances God has put you.
