Opportunities To Serve/Fellowship and Ministry Opportunities
Serving Idea of the Week: Drop a note of encouragement to a student this week. They're tired and ready to be done but need to know someone cares about them and how they do.
There will be a community involvement meeting on Tuesday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. At Concord. If you are associated with a community program or plan to become associated with one, please attend this meeting. This is for both campuses.
There will be a Sunday school teachers meeting for both campuses on Thursday, May 22nd, at 7:30. This meeting is for current teachers, substitute teachers, and anyone interested in becoming a Sunday school teacher. We will be discussing the Summer quarter of classes.
VBS still needs a few more volunteers! We need everyone who has time to help we can find a place for you. Please call or email Kimberlee at 939-5042 or doyle@pcastl.org.

Nursery, Children’s Church, and Greeter volunteers:If you are scheduled for a Sunday that you are unavailable, please make arrangements for a substitute by reviewing the month’s schedule (posted in the Concord Vine) and contacting them directly. Please also notify the office so that we can update our information. Thanks!

Church Library News– We have discovered that some of the books are being borrowed from the library without being checked-out. When borrowing a book, you need to fill out the library card, located on the inside cover of each book and place the library card in the small box located on the book shelves.
The Monroe County Recycling Center, located on 901 Illinois Ave in Waterloo, is accepting the following items:newspapers, magazines, office paper, plastics (#1 - #7), aluminum beverage cans, steel/tin cans, corrugated cardboard, glass jars and bottles, automotive batters, scrap aluminum, cooper, brass. Their hours are Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
If anyone would like to purchase a copy of Concord’s cookbook, Family Favorites, please see Kim Doyle. For a mere $10, you can own the recipes of many of the fellowship meal entrees! All proceeds benefit missions.
Deadlines for Bulletin Announcements and Inserts– Please send bulletin announcements to Jenny (bullockjl@gmail.com or 939-7116) by noon on Wed-nesday in order for it to be included in that Sunday’s bulletin. All bulletin inserts must be dropped off at the office or emailed to Jenny no later than Tuesday night.
A Reminder Regarding Cash Donations–In order to claim cash donations for tax return purposes, you will need to have a receipt. If you would like a receipt, please include your name only on the front of the envelope.
The Belize Mission Team continues to collect aluminum cans to raise funds. Please save yours and let Carlo Hansen know when you have a significant amount. Also, do you know any business you could approach to ask them to save cans for us. We’ll even do the pickup.
Want to help underwrite our mission trip to Belize? Denny’s Restaurant will donate 10% of each patron’s receipt to our cause. Just bring your receipts to church and place them in the box designated for Denny’s receipts on the foyer table.
We have excellent hearing helps for anyone who might be hearing impaired. Please ask Ed Pfeiffer in the Sound Booth for help.

If you have an email account and a desire to pray throughout the week for our weekly prayer requests, then we need you on the prayer team. Each week, we will email you the weekly prayer requests and ask that you commit to pray for these requests throughout the week.
