Maybe by now, you might feel that you’re hopelessly behind if you’re not reading in the Psalms. Maybe you’re ready to give up? Please don’t. Start again here. Today is a new beginning. What’s more important than reading a certain amount of Scripture is that you’re spending time with the Lord who loves you. Use this time to enjoy being with him. It’s better to read a small amount and think about it than rush through a large passage just to get it read. As you read, ask some questions.
What is the main point of this passage? What does it tell me about Jesus, His character, His plan and work of salvation, His desires for my life? Is there a command he wants me to obey, an example to follow, a sin or habit to avoid, a truth to share with someone else? Is there something he wants me to see about myself?
